Campari time again.

It has been quite a while between camparis!!  This one was enjoyed at Cafe Eden in Battambang ... campari served in a recycled glass jar with a plate of freshly cooked potato chips ... delicious.

Campari and Chips
I returned here in October for a six month stay to support our projects with Banyan Learning Tree  http://banyanlearningtree.blogspot.com  and A Mine Free World  www.aminefreeworld.org  check these sites for our newsy updates.   Presently I am  in  Battambang with Lisa McCoy working in the villages of Koh Kralor, unfortunately we are being severely restricted due to severe flooding.  We returned to our hotel yesterday, after a day on the motorbikes in flooded villages,  the staff looked somewhat surprised at these two bedraggled women asking for their keys.

This is the area where, last year,  we delivered many bicycles and small businesses to landmine affected families.  It is good to be back here and to visit these people to see how they have managed to support themselves with a new business, some have done amazingly well, they are an inspiration.

A few years ago most people came to Cambodia to visit Siem Reap for a brief three day stay to see the famous Angkor Temples, now things are changing, fortunately for the Cambodia culture, the country has many options open to travellers with good cheap accommodation and endless opportunities to volunteer your time to help these delightful people.

In December, the Round Square Organisation, will be sending over 24 students from various countries to build a school for Banyan Learning Tree in Takeo Province, very exciting ... should make for some very interesting stories ... stay posted.
